Celtic Creatures is dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership and developed Sydney’s first off-leash dog park in 2008. The park is located right next to our clinic, it provides a fully fenced area where local dogs and their owners can run, play and socialize.
Annual registration, waivers and dog memberships are required. Membership fees go towards care, maintenance and upgrades to the park. In the summer of 2014 we spruced up the park with a wooden carving of a wolf made by a local artist. We decided to involve our clients to give our newest addition a proper name. We ran a contest on our Facebook page and had a list of finalists and a vote for the best name. The winner received a prize and our wooden friend was named “Timber”.
In the fall of 2015, we made a big investment in the dog park and replaced half of the fencing with chain link fencing.
For the added security, we have also installed a coded lock so that only registered dog park members may enter the park. This has helped to improve compliance with park rules and has made the park safer.

The park is run on an annual membership basis. The money raised by membership sales finance park maintenance, development, fencing, doggie bags, landscaping, benches and trash removal.
