Shae

Shae is Mi’kmaw and lived her whole life in Eskasoni, which is the largest Mi’kmaq community in Nova Scotia. In 2018, she graduated from CBU with a Bachelor’s of Science. After volunteering at Celtic Creatures while studying at CBU, Shae felt her calling was in veterinary medicine. In 2020 she graduated from Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture’s Veterinary Technology program with honours. During her time there she did her work placement with Celtic Creatures, and had become a part of our team before she was officially hired to work with us.

Shae loves all aspects of being a Veterinary Technician but is particularly passionate about laboratory work and diagnostic testing. Shae brings a fresh energy into the clinic and tries her best to live a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle both at the clinic and at home.

In her free time, Shae likes to hike, mountain bike, cook/bake, and thrift. Shae has a dog named Rosie, and a dog named Koda.
